1.) Discuss your favorite cartoon/picture from the novel. What is significant about it? What does it reveal about Junior and hit situation? Why do you think the author includes these throughout the book/

My favorite cartoon/picture from the novel is on (pg. 182). I like this picture because you get a visual picture as well as a mental picture of how Junior is feeling, emotionally and physically. The picture is significant because Junior is now attending an all white’s school and playing on the basketball team for Reardon High School, which is playing against his old school from the reservation and his best friend Rowdy is playing against him, so Junior doesn’t know how to feel about his situation. Junior doesn’t know if he should act white or Indian. Junior feels both. The picture is revealing his good and bad side, a part of Junior wants to beat them and the other part wants them to win. I think the Author includes these pictures throughout the book so that the readers have some kind of expression and the reader can get more of a feel for the characters.
